MACEDON, Thessalonica. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. Æ 30mm (14.75 g). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Cabeirus standing facing, looking left, holding rhyton and hammer; altar to left, elephant's tusk on anvil to right. Touratsoglou Em. I:b) (V8/R6; an unlisted die combination); SNG ANS 879 var. (laureate bust). Good VF, heavy green patina.
